Para-Archery World Ranking and Paralympic Qualification Tournaments in Nove Mesto nad Metuji

Preliminary entries prove atractivity of the tournaments in Nove Mesto 2016

/up-to-date on March 24, 2016/

374 entries including 237 archers and 137 team officials from 37 countries are listed in WAREOS preliminary on-line registration system at the end of March.

There will be a global para-archery family from ARG, AUS, AUT, BRA, CAN, CZE, ESP, FIN, FRA, GBR, GER, IRI, IRL, IRQ, ISL, ITA, JPN, KAZ, KOR, LAT, MAS, MGL, NED, NOR, POL, RSA, RUS, SIN, SRI, SUI, SVK, SWE, THA, TPE, TUR, UKR and USA coming to the World Ranking and Paralympic Qualification tournaments in Nove Mesto nad Metuji, Czech Republic held in June 10 through 20, 2016.

WAREOS reports preliminarly about 58 entries in RMO, 34 in RWO, 66 in CMO, 43 in CWO, 24 in MW1 and I2 for WW1 divisions. No visually impaired archers were registered.

These numbers mean to change direction of shooting breadthways on the main field and will test capacity of all the facilities on the venue as well as in accommodation and local transport.

Anyway the Local Organising Committee in close co-operation with the Town Hall can celebrate the real paralympic sport festival which will be no doubt the nations and culture „melting pot“ in Nove Město in the mid of June.

Moreover the tournaments will be run parallelly to a traditional Film and Comedy Festival „Hrnec Smichu“ (Pot of Laughter) in the city.

The individual and team finals of the tournaments will move from stadium to a historical square (Husovo namesti) in Nove Město in June 18 and 19, which will be another milestone of the paralympic major events in the city.

However the numbers of archers can slightly change until final entries deadline on 23 May it is evident that the World Ranking tournament and the last paralympic qualification chance for Rio atract the biggest attendance that has ever been in Nove Mesto nad Metuji for all over 30 years!

Local organising committee wishes all the archers and their teams the best of luck and conditions for preparation to Nove Mesto 2016.
